Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents is a unique acute care, inpatient specialty hospital with 110 licensed beds, including Med Surg. and Residential Treatment Center; staffed by the finest physicians and treatment teams. We treat patients, ages 2-22, who have chronic illnesses, brain injuries, and neurobehavioral disorders with co-behavioral issues.

Qualifications

As part of the Recreation Therapy team, the Lifeguard position:

• Provides continuous patient care monitoring, supervision, and interaction during swimming activities, intervening as needed.
• Ensures the safety and cleanliness of the pool and surrounding area, reporting safety concerns to the nursing supervisor.
• Performs well under stress and during emergency situations.
• Works effectively with others in a team-oriented environment.
• Requires excellent communication and observation skills.
• Certification is required.
