Role: Certified Lifeguard

Requirements/Certifications: Active Lifeguarding Certificate

Summary: Under general supervision, ensures the safety of patrons of Dayton Swim School, LLC by preventing and responding to emergencies.

Our team is growing, and we are looking for team players who are enthusiastic, have a can-do perspective, and enjoy working with kids. We provide paid on-the-job training, flexible scheduling, a rewarding work environment, and a culture that will make you smile, too!

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of guests in the event of an accident or emergency
2. Communicates the rules of the facility to patrons fairly and consistently
3. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
4. Ensures that medical services are contacted by most appropriate means when necessary to respond to an emergency
5. Advances through cross-training in multiple roles and substitutes when necessary
6. Provides a Golden Experience to our students, families, and team members

Job Qualifications And Skills

1. Ability to work with children
2. Excellent communication and organizational skills
3. Must pass background examinations prior to training

The safety of our swimmers, parents, and team members is of the utmost importance. Goldfish Swim School follows all CDC and WHO safety standards along with local guidelines. Additional safety precautions include:

• Every shift has an on-staff cleaner to sanitize high touch areas in our lobby and pool areas
• Our pools are disinfected with chlorine to provide the safest swimming environment
