The Outing Club is looking for Lifeguards in Davenport, Iowa. The primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of pool users while providing excellent member relations and support during swim-related activities.
Applicants must be at least 16 years old and have current American Red Cross certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid. The role requires a proactive approach to ensure facility safety, willingness to respond to emergencies, and strong communication skills.
Reports to: Pool Manager; Manager on Duty
The overriding priority of all Lifeguard staff is to ensure the safety of all users of the pool. The Lifeguard role includes but is not limited to supervision of the facility and its patrons, ensuring a clean, safe, and excellent experience at The Outing Club, and completing daily checklist and duties as assigned by management. Applicants should possess the ability to respond to critical incidents and act swiftly in emergency situations. Lifeguards are expected to be able to successfully perform all physical activities necessary to perform all essential and related functions of the position including swimming, sitting and observing facility, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking to membership, and performing highly repetitive motions. Prolonged exposure to elements; including sun, wind, rain. This position is expected to be able to perform essential and related functions of the position which can be described as light-moderate work. May involve heavy lifting; physically and emotionally strenuous work.
