Job summary

A leading golf hospitality company in Albuquerque is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure a safe and enjoyable pool environment for members and guests. Responsibilities include monitoring pool activity, enforcing safety rules, and responding to emergencies. Applicants must have current Lifeguard and CPR certifications, with strong attention to safety and excellent customer service skills. This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and may include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have current Lifeguard certification (American Red Cross or equivalent).
• Ability to respond calmly in emergency situations.
• Prior lifeguard experience preferred.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Must meet minimum age requirements per state/local regulations.
• Prior lifeguard or aquatic facility experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool areas for safety of members and guests.
• Enforce pool rules and safety guidelines.
• Respond to emergencies including water rescues.
• Maintain constant vigilance while on duty and remain attentive to pool activity.
• Conduct routine checks of pool areas, equipment, and safety supplies.
• Assist with maintaining a clean and organized pool deck and surrounding areas.
• Provide friendly, helpful service to members and guests using the aquatic facilities.
• Report incidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to club leadership promptly.
• Participate in required safety drills, training, and staff meetings as needed.

Job Purpose

The Lifeguard plays an important role in ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and welcoming pool environment for members and guests. This position is responsible for monitoring pool activity, enforcing safety rules, responding to emergencies, and supporting the overall cleanliness and organization of the aquatic area. Lifeguards help create a positive club experience by maintaining a professional presence and assisting members and guests with pool-related needs.

• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions including sun and heat.
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and peak club hours.
