Job summary

Pinellas County Sheriff's Office seeks a Deputy Sheriff - Law Enforcement, with a mandatory Florida law enforcement certification and eligibility for the associated experience pay schedule. Qualifications

• Must be Florida certified as a Law Enforcement Officer to qualify.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must reside in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Manatee, or Hernando counties.
• Must meet Florida CJSTC standards and possess a valid Florida Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas to preserve public order and prevent crime.
• Make arrests and testify in court; investigate crimes and traffic incidents.
• Transport detainees and prepare reports and evidence for court.
• Enforce laws, issue warrants, serve court orders, and direct traffic when required.
• Participate in training, recruitment, and community relations activities.
