Job summary

A Plus Urgent Care in Temecula/Lake Elsinore area is seeking a Certified Full-Time Lead Medical Assistant to support physicians and lead clinic operations. Responsibilities include patient intake, vital signs, venipuncture, room preparation, and front-desk coverage based on scheduling.

The ideal candidate holds a Medical Assistant certificate, a current BLS/CPR, and a CA driver’s license, with at least 3 years of MA experience and solid English communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Fluent with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out process.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture and procedure as directed by the physician within the scope of practice in the State Documentation is recorded in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guideline.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Assists in covering the front desk as required.
• Assists the Practice Manager in leading the clinic to deliver high quality effective care.
• Schedule Tuesday - Friday 11:30am-8:00pm and Saturday 8:45am - 5:00pm; Schedule may change based on business needs.
• Must attend mandatory meetings.

Job Summary:

• Assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.

• Work schedule is Tuesday - Friday from 11:30am-8:00pm and Saturday from 8:45am - 5:00pm.

Experience/Training/Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Fluent with medical terminology required.

Certifications/Licenses:

• Medical Assistant certificate required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Current California Driver’s License.

Other Skills and Abilities:

• Understand end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliation process (according to clinic protocol).
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in using office equipment such as fax machine, copier and telephone system.
• Works in a well-lighted, OSHA Standard environment.
• May be in contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances.
• Occasionally subject to irregular hours.
• May be required to wear personal protective equipment as necessary
