Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Kitchen Fire Suppression System Technician to inspect, install and service pre-engineered suppression systems for commercial kitchens. You will work with extinguishers, detectors and control systems, ensuring all work meets NFPA codes and client requirements.

The role requires certification and experience in fire life safety, strong communication, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• State or any required certification preferred.
• 2 Fire Life Safety Industry experience specifically within Fire Suppression.
• 2 years of professional computer skills.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, service and repair fire suppression systems including kitchen units.
• Repair or replace extinguishers and detection/control system components.
• Troubleshoot defective components in suppression systems.
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal staff.
• Use Field Service Lightning to track work orders and materials.
• Complete documentation and follow safety policies.
