Digivance Solutions is seeking an experienced Certified Inpatient Medical Coder for a remote contract role. You will review inpatient records to ensure accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and help validate MS-DRG assignments while evaluating AI-generated notes for alignment with real documentation.

Qualified candidates hold active CIC/CCS/RHIA/RHIT/COC credentials and have hands-on inpatient coding experience, with a focus on guidelines and Coding Clinic guidance.

Formación

• Must hold active AHIMA or AAPC inpatient coding credentials.
• Hands-on inpatient ICD-10-CM/PCS coding experience required.
• Familiarity with Coding Clinic guidance and official coding guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Review inpatient medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS codes.
• Determine principal and secondary diagnoses and DP/POA indicators.
• Validate MS-DRG assignments including CCs/MCCs/HACs.
• Evaluate AI-generated notes against documentation.
• Identify coding discrepancies to improve AI model performance.
• Provide feedback on complex cases to improve data quality.

What You’ll Do

• Review inpatient medical records and ensure accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding.
• Identify principal and secondary diagnoses, sequence codes, and assign POA indicators.
• Validate MS-DRG assignments, including CCs, MCCs, and hospital-acquired conditions.
• Evaluate AI-generated clinical notes and summaries against real-world documentation.
• Identify coding discrepancies and help maintain accurate clinical data.
• Provide clear feedback on coding errors and complex cases to improve AI model performance.

Who Should Apply?

• Certified inpatient medical coders with an active CIC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT, COC, or another relevant AHIMA/AAPC coding credential.
• Professionals with hands‑on inpatient ICD-10‑CM/PCS coding experience.
• Candidates familiar with official coding guidelines and current Coding Clinic guidance.
• Individuals currently working in inpatient coding, clinical documentation improvement, or a related field.
• Professionals available for at least 10 hours per week.
