Job Summary

This is a fully remote, PART-TIME position for candidates who reside in FL, GA, IN, LA, MS, NV, NC, OK, SC, VA, WY; video conferencing and onsite attendance are required as directed by Corporate Coding Leadership.

Abstracts and codes medical data at the Certified Hospital Coder III level. Responsibilities mainly involve inpatient accounts. Training is provided upon hire, and supervisor monitoring ensures productivity and accuracy. Additional training may be provided as needed. Applicants undergo assessments in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT coding prior to interviews. Overtime may be required according to organizational needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required. Training provided for both inexperienced and experienced CHC III team members.
• Minimum three years of inpatient coding experience with CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CPC, COC, CIC, CRC, or no experience with RHIA/RHIT required.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and basic computer skills required.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and work overtime as needed. Ability to travel to multiple locations.
