BAYADA CERTIFIED HOME HEALTH AIDE COURSE

Overview

BAYADA Home Health Care of Jersey City offers a three-week certified home health aide training course, consisting of two weeks online and one week in person.

What You Will Learn

1. Providing compassionate, individualized care to clients
2. Performing bed baths, using mechanical lifts, skin care, mouth care, denture care, incontinence and peri care, among other skills
3. Effective communication skills
4. Assessing client needs and documenting appropriately
5. Infection prevention protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Job Responsibilities for Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs)

1. Assisting with daily living activities
2. Light housekeeping
3. Bathing and grooming
4. Range of motion exercises
5. Home management tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and bed making
6. Assisting with ambulation
7. Medication assistance
8. Errands and escorting clients to appointments
