Job summary

Awardhomecare is hiring a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) for in-home care in New Jersey. The role is hourly, in-person, with shifts Monday to Saturday from 10AM to 2PM and an ASAP start.

The ideal candidate holds a NJ CHHA certificate, a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation, and at least 1 year of caregiving experience. Own vehicle preferred, compassionate, dependable, and able to follow care plans.

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey CHHA certification (required)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Ability to work assigned shifts and maintain a consistent schedule

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Monitor and report changes in the client's condition, behavior, or overall well-being
• Assist with medication reminders and administration according to care plans and agency guidelines
• Support clients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, memory care needs, and other cognitive challenges
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, tidying, and maintaining a safe home environment
• Document care provided accurately using agency documentation systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or community activities as needed
