Job summary

CVHCare, a leader in Home Health Clinical services, is seeking a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join our San Ramon, CA home health team. You will work under supervision of a licensed clinician, providing skilled services and assistive care to patients in their homes.

Responsibilities include vitals checks, assisting with exercises, daily living activities, and light housekeeping. This is NOT a remote position with a per diem schedule; strong organizational skills and communication are

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year experience working as a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)
• Minimum one (1) year checking vitals and reporting/documenting on clinical charts
• Home Health Aide Training
• California Home Health Aide Certification and CPR Certification
• General knowledge of clinical terms
• Strong attention to detail for chart documentation
• Excellent time management and calendaring skills
• Strong experience using computers and computer systems
• Experience using Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Gmail Suite or other systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled services and assistance with basic daily activities per clinician supervision
• Check temperature, pulse and respiration rates and assist with prescribed exercises
• Assist with bed transfers, dressing, grooming, hygiene, feeding and ambulation as needed
• Perform light housekeeping and support daily living activities

About the position:

Our Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA) work in collaboration and under the supervision of a Licensed/Certified Clinician. This role is responsible for providing patients with skilled services and assistance with basic daily activities.

As a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA), you will use your education to assist with activities which support skilled services including checking temperature, pulse and respiration rates, assisting with exercises, or repetitive routines as prescribed by the clinicians. The nurturer you are, will put your skills to work in support of other daily activities that may include assistance with getting in and out of bed, dressing, grooming, hygiene, feeding, assistance with ambulatory transfers, and light housekeeping.

Schedule:

Per Diem (12 visits p/week)
* Non-traditional schedules are available, i.e., Thursday-Monday

Area #11 This territory includes but is not limited to the cities of Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Milpitas, Mt. View, Campbell, Los Altos, Saratoga, Los Gatos.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year experience working as a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)
• Minimum one (1) year checking vitals and reporting/documenting on clinical charts
• Home Health Aide Training
• California Home Health Aide Certification and CPR Certification
• General knowledge and understanding of clinical verbiage
• Strong attention to detail for use in chart documentation
• Excellent time management/calendaring skills and ability to deliver documentation timely
• Strong experience using computers and computer systems
• Experience using Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Gmail Suite or other systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication
