Job summary

United Methodist Communities in Northern New Jersey is seeking a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) for per diem assignments. Competitive pay ranges from $20 to $30.75 per hour, based on experience, with shifts day, evening, and night.

Qualifications

• Current and active New Jersey CHHA certification (required).
• High school diploma or GED (required).
• 18 years of age or older (required).
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English (required).

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs and report changes in patient behavior to nursing staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, medication reminders, mobility).
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding and perform light housekeeping.
• Run errands and provide transportation to appointments.
• Provide companionship and meaningful social engagement through safe, compassionate care.
