Job summary

Senior Helpers is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide in-home care to seniors across New Jersey. You will deliver exceptional care, offer companionship, and support families while completing daily tasks in a safe, respectful manner.

Qualified applicants hold a NJ HHA or CNA certification, a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation, and must pass a background check. Training and PPE are provided to ensure quality home-based care.

Qualifications

• CertifiedHHA or CNA in New Jersey is REQUIRED.
• A valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation.
• Background check screening required.
• PPD test (TB skin test) per NJ Law.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Delivering exceptional care to our clients.
• Supply personal companionship, remaining actively engaged with each client and their families.
• Assist with personal care activities to include personal hygiene, mobility assistance, incontinence care, light housekeeping, feeding and meal preparation.
• Complete all daily tasks in a safe and professional manner (ADLs).
• Collaborate with client’s care team to provide client updates and important health changes.
• Administrative functions such as documentation of completion of tasks and reporting changes in the client’s physical condition, mental capability, or behavior.

Qualifications:

• A genuine desire to assist others and improve their quality of life.
• Compassionate, patient, and understanding of the needs of our clients.
• CertifiedHHA or CNA in the State of New Jersey (REQUIRED).
• A valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation.
• PPD test (skin test for TB per NJ Law).
• Must complete a background check screening.

Every client will have different needs that they require assistance with, but we make sure to match our clients and caregivers for the optimal fit. Care provided could include ADLs such as grooming, eating, walking, bathing, and other self-care tasks. It could also include assisting with fun hobbies and games that a client enjoys.
