Job summary

Senior Helpers in New Jersey is seeking caring caregivers to provide in-home support to seniors in the Roselle area. You will deliver compassionate companionship, assist with daily living activities, and collaborate with family members and care teams to ensure quality, person-centered care.

Ideal candidates hold a NJ-certified HHA or CNA, have a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation, and are committed to safety and professionalism in every shift.

Qualifications

• Genuine desire to assist others and improve quality of life.
• Compassionate, patient, and understanding of clients' needs.
• Certified HHA or CNA in New Jersey (REQUIRED).
• Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation.
• PPD test ( TB skin test per NJ law).
• Background check screening must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional care to clients.
• Provide personal companionship and engage with clients and families.
• Assist with activities of daily living including hygiene, mobility, incontinence care, light housekeeping, meals.
• Complete daily tasks safely and professionally (ADLs).
• Collaborate with care team to provide updates and health changes.
• Document completion of tasks and report changes in condition or behavior.

• Delivering exceptional care to our clients.
• Supply personal companionship, remaining actively engaged with each client and their families.
• Assist with personal care activities to include personal hygiene, mobility assistance, incontinence care, light housekeeping, feeding and meal preparation.
• Complete all daily tasks in a safe and professional manner (ADLs).
• Collaborate with client’s care team to provide client updates and important health changes.
• Administrative functions such as documentation of completion of tasks and reporting changes in the client’s physical condition, mental capability, or behavior.

Every client will have different needs that they require assistance with, but we make sure to match our clients and caregivers for the optimal fit. Care provided could include ADLs such as grooming, eating, walking, bathing, and other self-care tasks. It could also include assisting with fun hobbies and games that a client enjoys.
