Job summary

CareOne, LLC is hiring a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) in Paramus, NJ. This role supports residents with ADLs, transfers, meals, and light housekeeping across multiple shifts.

Responsibilities include assisting with meals, vitals, and reporting changes to supervisors. A CHHA license and a high school diploma are required. We offer competitive pay and benefits at The Cupola facility.

Qualifications

• ADL assistance and personal care provided with sensitivity.
• Travel may be required to patient locations.
• Valid CHHA license and high school diploma are required.
• Experience in hospice or home health preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provides or assists with ADL activities such as personal hygiene and grooming.
• Assists with toileting, transfers, and bed mobility for residents.
• Supports prescribed exercises and ROM activities as directed.
• Performs light housekeeping and meal assistance for residents.
• Records vitals and reports changes to the Hospice Nurse or supervisor.
• Assists with medication reminders in compliance with regulations.

Salary range: $16.00-$25.00

The Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Provides or assists in ADL activities; personal hygiene, grooming, mouth, skin care and nails.
• Provides assistance in toileting; positioning and transfer activities, frequent turning and positioning of a bed bound resident/patient.
• Assists with the prescribed exercise and ROM activities which the resident/patient and Hospice aide have been taught by the Hospice Nurse.
• Assists with light housekeeping of individual's personal unit or room, including changing of bed linen, if needed and patient laundry.
• Feeds and assists with meals.
• Obtains temperature, pulse and respirations as supervised by the Hospice Nurse.
• Reports any changes in resident's/patient's condition to the Hospice Nurse and, if in a facility, to the facility nurse and documents the information on the Home Health Aide Certification of House form, including the date and time of the report and the person receiving the information.
• Assists or reminds the patient to take medication, in compliance with regulations of appropriate regulatory and accrediting bodies.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have a State Certified CHHA license
• Experience in hospice or home health, preferred
• No experience necessary but 1 year, preferred
• Must be willing to travel
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
