Job summary

Qualifications

• ACTIVE CT State Teaching certification is REQUIRED.
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's preferred).
• Proven experience in curriculum development and lesson planning.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to engage diverse learners.
• Familiarity with learning technologies and their application in education.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience working with students with special educational needs is a plus.

Summary

We are seeking a passionate High School Tutor to join our dynamic team at SmartStart Education. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the educational experiences of our students, fostering their academic growth, and preparing them for success in a global economy. The tutoring position begins as soon as possible and runs through the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year. Tutors must be available Monday through Friday with flexibility for 8-35 hours per week between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:30 pm and should plan to work several hours during the school day and after school as necessary within the Fairfield, CT 06825 area.

Pay: $35.00/hr
