Job summary

EVN Dialysis Center LLC is seeking a Hemodialysis Technician to assist nursing staff in preparing dialysis equipment and supporting patients during treatment. Responsibilities include safety testing, monitoring, and documenting care in accordance with center policies.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma, BLS certification, and HD technician credentials (BONENT or NANT). English fluency is essential, with healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current BLS certification by the American Heart Association is required.
• Certified Hemodialysis Technician through BONENT or NANT is required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently; bilingual preferred.
• Minimum 1 year healthcare experience, preferably with direct hemodialysis patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine dialysis procedures, including insertion of fistula needles and initiation/termination of treatments.
• Administer heparin and normal saline per physician order and protocol.
• Conduct and document pre-dialysis safety checks accurately.
• Monitor and record blood flow, machine pressures, heparin, and blood pressure during treatment.
• Take vital signs before, during, and after dialysis; report abnormal findings to the nurse.
• Maintain and organize supplies; restock as needed and verify shipments.
• Clean and maintain dialysis machines and related equipment; report malfunctions.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and build positive relationships with patients and staff.
