Job summary

Vw International, Inc. is seeking a journeyman HVAC/refrigeration technician to support a healthcare facility.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure environmental conditions meet clinical needs. Responsibilities include maintaining air handling and rooftop units, diagnosing faults, handling refrigerants with proper certification, and coordinating BAS work with OEM-qualified staff.

Qualifications

Minimum three years HVAC/refrigeration maintenance in healthcare facilities.
Delaware HVACR license required per employer scope.
EPA Section 608 certification required; universal preferred.
OEM qualification/training before operating BAS/DDC systems.
TAB work requires NEBB or AABC certification.
Must maintain licenses/certifications throughout employment.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, adjustment, and operational support for commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Maintain air-handling units, rooftops, split systems, pumps, motors, coils, dampers, controls, exhaust systems, and related equipment.
Diagnose defects and restore equipment to proper operation.
Handle refrigerants only when properly certified and authorized.
Support environmental conditions for healthcare operations and critical areas.
Coordinate BAS/DDC troubleshooting with OEM-qualified personnel.
Complete PM/CM documentation and required records.
Respond to alarms and emergency conditions impacting clinical operations.
