Nurse Practitioner practicing Functional Medicine Alive + Well Austin

Alive and Well, a Functional Medicine Clinic and Wellness Center, is seeking Certified, exceptional Health Coaches to support our growing Longevity and Optimization practice. We are a passionate team of practitioners with backgrounds in functional medicine, nutrition, and health coaching dedicated to helping people live their most vibrant lives.

As a health coach, you will work closely with our medical team to help patients implement wellness and health optimization plans to achieve their health goals. You will coach patients on incorporating nutrition, sleep, movement, and stress management sustainably into their daily lives. You will serve as the primary liaison between patients and the team, providing a high level of care. Responsibilities include welcoming new patients, assessing biomarkers using tools like Inbody Scan, VO2max system, grip strength tester, wearable devices (Oura ring, Whoop, Apple Watch), continuous glucose monitors, and more. You should be familiar with holistic therapies offered at our Wellness Center to make supportive recommendations.

Requirements:

1. Certified Health Coach with 1-2 years of full-time experience, skilled in personalized approaches to health optimization through nutrition, lifestyle, sleep, and movement. Ability to interpret macro nutrition reports and assist with blood sugar regulation. Capable of structuring movement programs to build muscle and reduce fat.
2. Passion for longevity and familiarity with tools like Oura, Whoop, glucose monitors, Inbody Scan, and VO2max to track progress. Knowledge of peptides, nanoparticles, stem cells, hormesis, red light therapy, IV vitamin therapy, and related topics.
3. Support patients using GLP-1 peptides to maintain muscle mass, facilitate fat loss, and promote digestion and weight management.
4. Energetic, outgoing, positive, compassionate, and able to nurture collaborative relationships with patients.
5. Understanding of lab results, hormone functions, and supplementation.
6. Comfort with technology, including ERM (Cerbo), social media, and macro trackers like Chronometer and MyFitnessPal.
7. Team-oriented, curious about longevity and health optimization, and self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
8. Practices wellness principles personally, embodying the foundations of health and wellness.
9. Aligned with Alive and Well’s mission and values.
