Job Details

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning of all patients referred for their services. The therapist is an integral healthcare provider accountable for assisting patients to achieve their highest level of physical, cognitive, linguistic, and swallowing function. The therapist will uphold the mission, vision, and values of Jefferson Health.

Works in conjunction with other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment plans and care.

Essential Functions
  1. Provide therapy evaluations, treatment planning, interventions, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload in various settings such as acute care, skilled facilities, acute rehab, and outpatient.
  2. Plan, organize, and deliver treatment programs that facilitate recovery and rehabilitation.
  3. Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to administer safe therapeutic interventions and training for patients and families.
  4. Record and document patients' health progress, therapeutic interventions, daily treatments, evaluations, and discharge summaries.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Description

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
  • 0-2 years of clinical practice; 1 year preferred.
  • Valid state license in Occupational Therapy.
  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is required.
  • BLS and CPR certifications via AHA are required.
  • Must be Certified in Hand Therapy.
