Overview

Position: Certified Hand Therapist - PT or OT

Location: Manchester, CT

Schedule: Monday through Friday

PRN and part-time positions are also available.

Compensation: Salary up to $100k, commensurate with experience.

Incentives: Sign-on bonus up to $10k and student debt repayment assistance.

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), Physical Therapist, or Occupational Therapist to treat various upper extremity disorders, including tendon injuries, sprains, strains, post-operative fractures, and more. The ideal candidate will be skilled in custom splinting and will collaborate with our regional hand therapy coordinator to ensure success.

The office is large, with multiple experienced clinicians. It is located directly below a top referring orthopedic physician, with many local physicians referring hand cases. Opportunities include shadowing top hand surgeons, working within a supportive team, and utilizing advanced resources for hand therapy, including a newly designed space with dedicated hand therapy areas, on-site splint materials, and cutting-edge therapy tools. Initial evaluations are scheduled for one hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, develop treatment plans, implement, re-evaluate, and discharge high-quality hand therapy services, maintaining effective communication with patients and clients.
  • Provide comprehensive, individualized treatment programs.
  • Maintain positive interactions with facilities and staff, fostering strong client relations.
  • Stay current with occupational therapy research and employ evidence-based practices.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited occupational or physical therapy program.
  • Hold specialty certification or licensure in hand therapy.
  • Maintain current national registration and state licensure.
  • Previous marketing experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in applying custom pre- and post-operative orthopedic splinting.
  • CPR certification.
  • Valid driver’s license.
