Job summary

OAK CREEK ELEMENTARY in Lewis Center, OH seeks a Certified Grade 3rd Long-Term Substitute Teacher to begin February 2027 for about 12 weeks. The substitute will work through ESCCO and must hold or be eligible for Ohio licensure and be active on Frontline Absence Management.

Responsibilities include delivering instruction to 3rd grade, maintaining a safe, orderly classroom, and following the approved scope and sequence. Compensation is $155–$215 per day.

Qualifications

Job Description

Oak Creek Elementary is seeking an Third Grade Certified Long-Term Substitute beginning February, 2027 for approximately 12 weeks.

Qualified candidates will be employed through the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio (ESCCO) and must hold or be eligible for valid and appropriate licensure for each position with the Ohio Department of Education and be active on Frontline Absence Management as a certified substitute with ESCCO. Essential functions: ensure the safety of students; demonstrate knowledge of subject matter; create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; follow the scope and sequence of the instructional program; and, observe ethics of the teaching profession.

• Certified substitutes are compensated at a rate of $155/day; $215/day for days 61+ in a consecutive work assignment (no benefits).
