Job summary

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a certified Floor and Chair Yoga Group Fitness Instructor for part-time, hourly work. You will lead engaging classes, inspire members, and support a healthy lifestyle within YMCA standards.

Ideal candidates are 18+ with a high school diploma, alongside YMCA Group Exercise certification or national certification and a Floor/Chair Yoga credential. Flexible scheduling and member-focused service are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age and high school diploma or equivalent.
• YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification with experience or National certification.
• Certification in Floor and Chair Yoga.
• Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Set an example of healthy living and personal fitness.
• Prepare routines and/or choreography within YMCA standards.
• Provide support and encouragement to members and reinforce healthy lifestyles.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of members and staff; notify supervisor of any safety hazards or concerns within the facility.
• Provide excellent service to all members and notify supervisor of member needs, supplies or other items needed to ensure program quality and member satisfaction; ensure safe movement and technique in all classes.
• Maintain knowledge of emergency and safety procedures and maintain records on any incidents.
