Job summary

Planet Fitness-United Fitness Partners in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Fitness Trainer to lead member workouts, maintain equipment, and promote a clean, welcoming gym. You will design personalized programs, guide classes, and ensure safety and great customer service.

This role requires a current national training certification, CPR/AED and First Aid, and knowledge of fitness equipment. English fluency is required; Spanish helpful.

Qualifications

• Current national training certification (ACE, NASM, ISSA, ACSM, NSCA)
• Fitness equipment knowledge and ability to demonstrate use
• 1–3 years experience in related field with health and wellness training
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification
• Studies in Kinesiology, Exercise Science or related field
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs, reach, climb
• Punctuality and dependability
• English language; reading and writing; Spanish helpful

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair gym equipment as needed
• Keep club and equipment clean for a superior member experience
• Design personalized workout programs for members
• Recruit new members for fitness classes
• Promote gym safety and enforce policies to ensure a safe environment
• Demonstrate leadership and support team growth
