Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or GED-equivalent programs.
• Training in endoscopic equipment cleaning process.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement the endoscopy maintenance/cleaning program for Peri-Operative Services.
• Maintain endoscopy equipment and perform related tasks.
• Assist Central Processing Department as needed and fill the 7385 Central supply Technician role when required.
• Maintain performance improvement measures for endoscopy in Perioperative Department.
• Identify patient needs (age, culture, language, hearing/visual impairments) and adapt care accordingly.
• Adhere to organizational competencies and complete competency tools when learning new modalities.
• Reprocess scopes per policy, wear PPE, perform leak testing, manual cleaning and high-level disinfection.
