Job summary

Qualifications

• Journeyperson-level commercial electrician with strong knowledge of NEC and safety practices.
• NFPA 70E certification required; experience reading technical blueprints.

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems in commercial environments.
• Perform conduit bending, measuring, and installation to high standards.
• Conduct electrical maintenance and inspections to ensure code compliance.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using testing devices and diagnostic tools.

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 12 noon - 9pm

The Electrician at Velociti Services is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing complex electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems in commercial environments. This role requires the ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and safely perform work on both simple and advanced electrical systems in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems
• Perform expert-level conduit bending, measuring, and installation
• Conduct general electrical maintenance and inspections
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
• Repair or replace electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment
• Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), state, and local building regulations
• Utilize and maintain various electrical testing equipment
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including but not limited to:
• Light plumbing and painting
• Material pickup and transport
• Installation of signage
• Forklift operation

Required Skills / Abilities

• Commercial electrician experience required; NFPA 70E certification is mandatory
• Journeyperson-level experience

Physical Requirements

• Stand and work on feet for extended periods
