Job summary

The Old Colony YMCA in Easton, MA is seeking a Certified EEC Teacher to plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program for children at Blanche Ames Elementary. The teacher will ensure safety, comply with EEC regulations and YMCA policies, and model caring, responsibility, honesty and respect.

Responsibilities include daily activity leadership, curriculum planning, family communication, attendance and documentation, staff meetings, and meeting QRIS standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States.
• Must meet EEC education and experience requirements for Teacher.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Evidence of physical examination within last 12 months.
• Immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella.
• Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and assist with activities.
• Strong oral communication skills for occasional public speaking.
• Ability to work as part of a cohesive team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement the program curriculum in accordance with EEC regulations.
• Lead daily activities and manage classroom environment.
• Communicate with parents and YMCA staff; provide weekly newsletters.
• Maintain attendance records and required reports.
• Assist with staff meetings and professional growth.
