Job summary

Educational Service Unit 3 in La Vista, Nebraska seeks an Early Head Start Teacher (Certified) to provide developmentally appropriate education for infants and toddlers within Head Start. The role includes supervising teaching assistants, partnering with families, and ensuring compliance with program standards.

The candidate will maintain confidentiality, support dual language learners, meet grant requirements, and participate in professional development.

Qualifications

• Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education (age 3 through Grade 3), Early Childhood Inclusive (Birth through Grade 3), or Early Childhood Special Education (Birth through Kindergarten).
• Provisional Endorsement with plan to complete full Endorsement within 2 years of hire.
• Head Start experience preferred (two years) but not required.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with ESU #3 Board of Education Policies and Employee Handbook.
• Oversee day-to-day work of teaching assistants and coach on classroom procedures.
