Job summary

Petco is seeking a Certified Dog Trainer to advance pet health and wellness by training dogs and guiding pet parents. You will conduct one-on-one sessions, group classes and provide tailored plans in our Pet Care Centers, using positive reinforcement and modern techniques.

You’ll also help guests with product recommendations and service options to meet each dog's goals. The role includes completing Petco's 6-week Dog Trainer Instructor Program, maintaining training records, and collaborating

Qualifications

• Passion for animal care, training and welfare.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes safely.
• Strong organizational skills with prioritization.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Familiarity with computer systems to manage training records and schedules.
