Job summary

Petco is hiring a Certified Dog Trainer to advance its Dog Health and Wellness mission. You will deliver one-on-one sessions, group classes, and tailored training plans to improve dog behavior and wellbeing, while guiding pet parents with practical care advice.

You will participate in Petco’s Dog Training Instructor Program, pass stages of certification, and collaborate with grooming and veterinary teams to offer comprehensive pet care solutions.

Qualifications

• Passion for animal care and welfare.
• Excellent communication with pet parents and clear instruction.
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes safely and humanely.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and assist with training activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide World Class Dog Training Services.
• Recommend and sell appropriate training classes, training, and supplies.
• Keep accurate records of training sessions and progress.
• Work cross-functionally with grooming and veterinary teams to provide holistic solutions.
• Promote a positive culture of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration.
