Job summary

Petco is seeking a Certified Dog Trainer to empower pet parents with modern training techniques and positive reinforcement. You will deliver one-on-one sessions, group classes, and create customized plans that improve behavior and well-being.

As part of the Pet Care Center team, you’ll engage guests with expert recommendations, maintain training records, and collaborate with grooming and veterinary staff to provide holistic solutions for pets and families.

Qualifications

• Passion for animal care and welfare.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with dogs of all sizes and breeds safely.
• Strong organizational skills to manage tasks and schedules.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Familiarity with computer systems and training records management.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one dog training sessions and group classes.
