Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Petco Certified Dog Trainer to advance pet health and wellness by training dogs and guiding pet parents.

You will conduct one‑on‑one sessions, group classes, and provide personalized plans using positive reinforcement and modern techniques while engaging guests with holistic solutions. The role requires passing the DTIP, maintaining training records, and collaborating with grooming/ veterinary teams.

Qualifications

• Passion for animal care, training, and welfare.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work safely with dogs of all sizes and breeds.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide world class dog training services including 6‑week program participation.
• Complete training modules, DTIP materials, and maintain records.
• Recommend and sell classes and supplies to pet parents.
• Collaborate with grooming and veterinary teams for holistic care.
• Deliver excellent guest experiences and manage an OMNI shopping experience.
