Job summary

You will conduct one-on-one sessions, group classes and provide guidance on nutrition, behavior, and supplies. You will complete the Dog Training Instructor Program, collaborate with grooming and veterinary teams, and help guests select the right services while maintaining high safety and service standards.

• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed to accommodate training schedules.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds for training equipment.
• Familiarity with computer systems to manage training records, schedules, and communications.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class dog training services through one-on-one sessions and group classes.
• Attend and successfully complete Petco’s 6-week Dog Trainer Instructor Program.
• Recommend and sell appropriate training classes, training, and supplies to ensure success for pets and owners.
• Keep accurate records of training sessions, progress, and feedback from pet parents.
• Collaborate with grooming and veterinary teams to provide holistic health solutions.
• Ensure merchandise is stocked, priced, and displayed to enhance the guest experience and support sales.
• Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive store culture.
