Job summary

The Laurels of Milford in Milford, Ohio is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to bridge the clinical dietetics team and kitchen operations. You will ensure meals are diet- and texture-appropriate, appetizing, and nutritious for our residents.

Responsibilities include menu development, keeping the kitchen clean per regulations, supervising dietary purchasing, and coordinating across departments to honor resident preferences.

Qualifications

• CDM certification or enrollment in an approved program.
• ServSafe certification required within 90 days of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer two-year supervised institutional food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and implement menus for the resident population.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness compliant with State and Federal guidelines.
• Oversee purchasing in the dietary department within facility budget.
• Manage kitchen operations including procurement, sanitation, scheduling, and staff development.
• Collaborate with other departments to honor residents' preferences and routines.
• Complete timely clinical documentation of the dietary portion of care plans.

The Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) at The The Laurels of Milford acts as the connecting agent between the clinical/dietetics team and the kitchen staff. The CDM is responsible for ensuring guests receive diet- and texture-appropriate meals that are appetizing and nutritious.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and implement menus specific to the guest population.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness compliant with State and Federal guidelines.
• Supervise purchasing in the dietary department specific to the facility budget.
• Manage all aspects of kitchen operations including procurement, sanitation, scheduling, training, talent development and QAPI.
• Cooperate with other departments to identify and accommodate guests’ choices, preferences and customary routines regarding eating.
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation of dietary portion of guest care plans.

Qualifications

• Certified Dietary Manager Certification or current enrollment in a certification course approved by the Dietary Managers Association.
• ServSafe Certification required within 90 days of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer two-year supervised food service experience in an institutional setting focused on planning, preparing and servicing regular and therapeutic diets.
