Job summary

North County Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to lead our Dietary Department. The CDM will plan, develop, and direct daily operations to ensure resident satisfaction and safety while complying with state regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities include maintaining food service standards, staff scheduling, equipment upkeep, cost control, and ensuring sanitation. The role requires leadership, prior kitchen management experience, and a commitment to geriatric

Qualifications

• Experience in a food handling or dietary role.
• Demonstrates leadership and managerial ability.
• Experience in a kitchen setting with staff management.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Desire to work with geriatric residents and meet their needs.
• State-approved food safety manager course within first year (tuition assistance).

North County Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to lead our Dietary Department! Our CDM will play a crucial role in planning, developing, and directing the daily operation of the dietary department, ensuring residents satisfaction and safety as well as adherence to company policy and procedures as well as maintaining compliance with state regulations.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for maintaining food service standards, policies and procedures, dietary staff hours, scheduling, equipment maintenance, cost control, and resident safety while providing the highest available quality of food service for our residents. Ensure their department is maintaining the cleanliness of all areas, safe functioning equipment, as well as sanitation requirements.

Job Type: Fulltime

Shift Availability: 8A-4P, Monday-Friday

Salary: Flexible based on experience

Qualifications:

• Experience in a food handling or dietary role

• Previous management experience in a kitchen setting

• Organized, attention to detail, and able to make independent and astute management decisions.

• Has a desire to work with the geriatric resident and their current and prospective needs

• Successful completion of a state-approved food safety manager course is required within the first year. Tuition help is provided

• Experience in a long-term care setting is preferred, but not required
