Job summary

Altus Emergency is seeking an Ultrasound Technician (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) to perform ultrasound diagnostic procedures in a clinical setting. The role requires ARDMS certification and hands-on experience, with a focus on patient care and accurate imaging.

The candidate will explain procedures to patients, capture high-quality images, and present preliminary findings to the medical team. Prior related work and licensure support are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program that is CAAHEP accredited.
• Active ARDMS certification(s) in appropriate specialty.
• Minimum of 2 years ultrasound/sonography experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Responsibilities

• Explain ultrasound procedures to patients and answer questions.
• Present images and preliminary findings to physicians and the healthcare team.
• Maintain patient records and notes related to the ultrasound procedure.
• Perform ultrasounds and ensure image quality from all angles.
