The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Certified Diabetes Educator for a part-time role (20 hours per week) in the Medical Pavilion. You will provide diabetes self-management education, meal planning guidance, and contribute to existing nutrition and education programs.
Responsibilities include leading DSME and nutrition clinics, teaching group diabetes education classes, coordinating events, and supporting ADA accreditation and CQI initiatives while coordinating with clinic staff
This job is required to work 2 and a half days per week and having 2 clinics per week. The Diabetes Educator educates patients with diabetes on meal planning and general diabetes self-management education. They participate in the development and implementation of new/current nutrition and education programs. The Diabetes Educator assists in maintaining ADA accreditation and continuous quality improvement projects.
