Job summary

Qualifications

• 6+ months of relevant dental assisting experience.
• Completion of a 1-year CODA-accredited Dental Assistant program.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists with routine and specialty dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, medications, and materials
• Assist with restorative dentistry, oral surgery, periodontics, and prosthetics
• Take and process dental X-rays
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Prepare impressions and dental materials
• Maintain infection-control and safety standards
• Document patient care in the electronic medical record
• Maintain dental supplies and treatment areas
• Provide general clinical and administrative support
