Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience as a dental assistant or graduate from an ADA accredited dental assisting program.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Oregon Dental Radiation Certification required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Apply topical anesthetic and desensitizing agents as directed by the provider.
• Assist in the placement/removal of bands, wires, and orthodontic materials; take intra-oral measurements and expose radiographs.
• Organize dental records and maintain patient files for provider use.
• Prepare, organize, arrange and pass instruments and supplies; maintain a clean operatory and infection control.
