Job summary

El Centro Family Health in New Mexico is seeking a Certified Dental Assistant to support both dental and medical services under supervision. The role includes chair side assistance to Dentists and Hygienists, radiography, and helping with patient flow and records management in a busy clinic.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved dental assistant program, with at least one year in a dental clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or completion of an approved dental assistant program.
• One year experience in a dental clinic setting.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Current radiology certification.
• Preferred: coronal polishing, Topical Anesthesia, Sealant Placement.
• Two years experience in a dental setting (preferred).
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical, administrative, and staff support to dental/medical services operations.
• Assists in dental and radiography procedures and in day-to-day patient administration and records management.
• Provides chair side assistance to Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist for operative, preventive, periodontal, endodontic, prosthetic, or oral surgical procedures.
