Job summary

Chestnut Dental Associates in Franklin, MA is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support dentists, ensure safe, efficient patient care, and report to the Clinical Supervisor.

You will be required to work one Saturday a month from 7:45 to 1:45, assist with procedures, take radiographs, maintain infection control, and help with scheduling and documentation.

Qualifications

• Certification in DANB and X-ray required.
• CPR certification current.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care.
• Review patient charts and treatment plans before appointments.
• Assist dentists during procedures and maintain efficient clinical flow.
• Take dental radiographs and perform coronal polishing as permitted.
• Provide patient education and review postoperative instructions.
• Maintain sterilization, infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain documentation and communicate scheduling needs to front office staff.
• Manage supplies, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
• Participate in training, meetings, and continuing education.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
