Job summary

Alicks Home Medical Equipment is seeking a dedicated Masectomy Fitter to join our team. You will provide fitting and delivery of breast prostheses and mastectomy products across hospitals, clinics, and patients' homes, ensuring proper fit and patient comfort.

The role requires a high school diploma, completion of a mastectomy fitter program, and passing a certified examination, along with 500 hours of patient care. Shift is 8 hours, Monday to Friday, with on-call weekends.

Qualifications

  • A positive attitude is required.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Completion of an approved Mastectomy Fitter program and/or training.
  • Must pass a Certified Mastectomy Fitter examination and provide transcripts.
  • Minimum of 500 hours of documented patient care.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individualized fitting and delivery of breast prostheses and mastectomy products in hospitals, clinics, private homes, and similar settings.
  • Discusses products and insurance coverage options with patients.
  • Performs required measurements and assists with product selection and proper fit.
  • Greets customers promptly and courteously; remains professional and resourceful on calls or in person.
  • Completes order intake, determines urgency and payer sources, and schedules delivery.
  • Educates patients on equipment use, safety, funding considerations, and billing practices.

Amazing customer service skills is a big plus!Requirements:A positive attitudePass a background checkHigh school diploma or equivalentCompletion of an approved Mastectomy Fitter program and/or appropriate training at an approved accredited education facility; Must pass a Certified Mastectomy Fitter examination and submit his/her certificate of completion and official transcript from the education facility; and a minimum of 500 hours of documented patient care.Benefits:Health InsuranceDental & Vision Insurance401(k) & 401(k) MatchPaid TrainingPaid Time OffEmployee DiscountResponsibilities:Provides individualized fitting and delivery of breast prostheses and mastectomy products and services to ill, injured, convalescent, and disabled persons in such settings as hospitals, clinics, physician offices, private homes, schools, sanitariums, and similar institutions.Discusses with the patient the various products available for the surgical procedure performed.Discusses with the patient what products and quantity of products are eligible for any type of insurance coverage.Performs required measurements.Assists the patient with appropriate selection of post-mastectomy and/or lumpectomy prostheses, bras, and associated garments.Ensures a proper fit.Demonstrates the knowledge, skill, and ability necessary to recognize and provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of patients of various ages.Greets customers promptly and courteously.Remains professional and resourceful when assisting customers by telephone or in-person.Provides product and funding information to customers.Completes order intake by computer access and/or manual form. Determines order urgency, establishes the payer source(s), and informs customers of payment responsibilities and schedules appropriate delivery.Provides customers with accurate information regarding equipment use, including safety issues and limitations, funding considerations, 3rd party funding coverage, delivery schedules and company billing practices.Make calls out to our customers who have borrowed equipment through Alick's and attempt to recollect equipment that is overdue or equipment that is due soon.Schedule:Schedule:8-hour shiftDay shift Monday to FridayOn Call Weekend Availability
