Job summary

Adult & Child Health is hiring a Certified Peer Specialist in Indianapolis to empower clients on their recovery journey. You will collaborate on personalized plans, connect clients with resources, and provide emotional support in a crisis-focused setting.

You will work within Crisis Services, engaging with clients who are new to care, supporting recovery goals, and promoting independence while adhering to confidentiality and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Must identify as a present or former recipient of mental health or substance use services OR identify as someone in recovery.
• Requires at least 1 year of direct experience with the mental health system as a client.
• Able to complete a Certified Peer Support training program and other required trainings within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with individuals to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Maintain communication with referral sources and guardians about progress and planning.
• Participate in meetings to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist in researching and referring individuals to outside resources.
