Job summary

Jefferson City Medical Group seeks a Full-time Billing/Coding Specialist to support provider and ancillary service billing in Jefferson City, Missouri. The ideal candidate has at least two years of physician coding experience and strong ICD-10/CPT knowledge, with CPC/CCA/CEMC certifications preferred.

You will coordinate with clinics, maintain accurate billing information, and ensure quality customer service to staff, patients, and visitors in line with clinic philosophy and mission.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum in a Physician Coding environment.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Competent in medical terminology via training or experience.
• Certifications CPC/CCA/CEMC are preferred or beneficial.

RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• High school diploma or GED

Experience:

• Minimum two years in a Physician Coding environment

Certification/License:

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
• Certified Coding Associate (CCA)
• Certified Evaluation and Management Coder (CEMC) for E&M Specialties and Family Medicine

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Competency in medical terminology as demonstrated by either formal training or experience
• Must be able to assess self-learning needs and participate in educational programs as appropriate
• Computer literate
• Knowledge and experience with ICD-10 and CPT coding
