Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to join our clinical team in Georgia. You will perform front and back office duties under supervision of a physician, physician extender, or registered nurse, contributing to patient flow and care.

Education requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, or two years of related clinical experience. CMA-AAMA certification and BCLS are required on hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, two (2) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience is required.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience in a medical office setting with completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program. Required or
• In lieu of degree /certification from a Medical/Nursing Assistant program, two (2) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
