J.B.A. Chevrolet seeks an experienced Automotive Technician with Corvette and Chevrolet/GM certifications. This is not entry-level; the ideal candidate can diagnose, service, and repair Corvette models and has GM/Chevrolet training.

You will perform advanced diagnostics, work on engines, drivetrains, electrical systems, and test drives. Competitive flat-rate pay, potential monthly bonus, and weekends off offered.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair Chevrolet Corvette vehicles.
• Perform advanced mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
• Repair engines, transmissions, driveline, suspension, brakes, HVAC, electrical systems.
• Complete warranty and non-warranty repairs per procedures.
• Test drive and verify repairs for safety and performance.
• Utilize GM diagnostic information, tools, and procedures.
• Communicate findings and ETAs with Service Advisors.
• Stay current with Chevrolet/GM training and Corvette tech advances.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.

Job description

J.B.A. Chevrolet is a family-owned dealership proudly serving our community since 1976. We are looking for an experienced, Chevrolet/GM-certified Automotive Technician with specific Corvette training and experience to join our service team.

This is not a general entry-level technician position. We are specifically seeking a technician who is comfortable diagnosing, servicing, and repairing Chevrolet Corvette models and who has completed applicable GM/Chevrolet technical training or certifications.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, service, and repair Chevrolet Corvette vehicles
• Perform advanced mechanical and electrical diagnostics using electronic diagnostic equipment
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, driveline, steering, suspension, braking, HVAC, electrical, and other vehicle systems
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs as outlined on repair orders
• Complete Chevrolet/GM warranty and non-warranty repairs according to manufacturer procedures
• Test drive vehicles and verify repairs for proper operation, safety, and performance
• Use applicable GM diagnostic information, tools, and service procedures
• Communicate repair findings and estimated completion times with Service Advisors
• Stay current with Chevrolet/GM technical training, repair procedures, and evolving Corvette technology
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Required Qualifications

We're specifically looking for an experienced technician with Chevrolet/GM and Corvette expertise.

• Prior professional automotive technician experience
• Chevrolet/GM technical training or certifications
• Corvette service, repair, and diagnostic experience
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience performing complex mechanical repairs
• Ability to safely operate shop tools and electronic diagnostic equipment
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a dealership service team

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with additional experience in the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply:

• Advanced GM/Chevrolet certifications
• Extensive Corvette repair and diagnostic experience
• ASE certifications
• Advanced electrical diagnosis
• Engine performance and drivability diagnosis
• Transmission and driveline diagnosis and repair
• Experience with late-model Chevrolet vehicle technology
• Continued GM manufacturer training

Compensation

$30.00-$50.00 per flat-rate hour

Compensation is based on experience, skills, training, and certifications and is negotiable.

Technicians may also be eligible for a monthly bonus based on position and repair-order hours turned.
