Altru Health System is seeking a Technician III in Grand Forks, ND, to perform core duties in surgical instrument reprocessing and instrument/ equipment decontamination, sterilization, and assembly. The role supports OR readiness and may involve further training for advancement to Technician IV and OR liaison responsibilities.

Salary range for this level would be from $21.79 - $32.68 USD Hourly.
The Technician III holds a certification in surgical instrument reprocessing and demonstrates competency in performing core duties; Surgery Instrumentation Case Build, Instrument and Equipment Decontamination, Instrument Sterilization, and Surgical Instrument Assembly. Technician may be trained in additional areas of supply management and scope reprocessing. Technicians work as a team to assure all instruments and supplies are ready and available for surgical and procedural patient care. Technicians may complete advanced education and training to advance to Technician IV. The Technician IV, OR Liaison, is the Shift Lead in Central Sterile Department. Advancement available for consideration after six months working as a Technician III and demonstration of required leadership skills. This individual coordinates communication and requests to and from the operating rooms, coordinates instrument turnaround and throughout within the department for the shift, problem solves issues, functions as a resource for the team and manages emergent situations. This can also include cross-training to OR Core Tech duties in surgery.
