Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN seeks a Certified Lead Sterile Processing Technician to lead, train, and ensure clean, sterile instruments and supplies for every surgical case. You will supervise equipment operation, maintain records, and ensure a safe, high‑quality environment that supports patient care.

Responsibilities include inventory management, scheduling support, and guiding the Sterile Processing team to uphold quality standards and timely surgeries.

Qualifications

• Certified Sterile Processing Technician credentials (CSPDT/CST/CRCST) must be obtained within 1 year of start date.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Certified Lead Sterile Processing Technician, you will be an invaluable safety expert and trusted leader on our team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, inspecting, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments and trays to ensure every tool works properly and is ready for patient care
• Operating and maintaining sterilization equipment, while keeping detailed records of sterilization cycles, safety checks, and quality standards
• Preparing surgical sets and case carts by reviewing daily schedules and gathering the right instruments and supplies for each procedure
• Managing inventory, organizing supplies in OR storage areas, and working closely with the surgical team to help keep surgeries run smoothly and on time
• Leading and training the Sterile Processing team, sharing updates on new equipment and processes, and setting a positive example to support a safe, high-quality environment where teamwork thrives

What qualifications you will need:

• (CSPDT) Cert Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician, or (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist, or (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
