Position Summary:

Sovah Health Martinsville is seeking a Certified Central Sterile Process Technician - 2nd shift to handle all reusable supplies and patient care equipment in the hospital.

• Provide inspection, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments and patient care equipment according to guidelines and standards.
• Operate departmental equipment safely and according to manufacturer instructions.
• Provide excellent customer service to all departments, focusing on patient needs.
• Process and document sterile supplies and equipment, verifying sterility.
• Monitor antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing daily.
• Enter patient charges and orders into the system.
• Problem solve to improve teamwork effectiveness.
• Conduct biological monitoring and interpret results.
• Operate steam and ETO sterilizers.
• Wash and decontaminate instruments, transport supplies, and ensure proper storage.
• Follow infection control precautions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST).
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
